Be kind rewind is a film from Michael Gondry (director of Eternal Sunshine ,The Science of Sleep and Dave Chapel's Bloc Party) in which two guys( Jack Black and Mos Def) from a whole in the wall rental store discover that all there tapes have been erased. They go into desperate measures to keep the store going by "attempting" to recreate the lost films by creating there own cheap and inacurate versions of them. Some of these films Include: Driving Miss Daisy, Ghost Busters, Robo Cop
This film is odd to me because this is something most people do as kids, reenact there favorite films. So its odd and cool to see this. Also the tag line sparked something right into my head, "Sometimes the best movies are the ones we make up". What came up is youtube, the ability to do what you want on video and share to the world. anyone with a camera, friends, and the heart to create something can do it. You wouldn't care if its bad or good, you just have fun with it. The way the film looks, it seems to capture that idea pretty well. It comes out Feb. 22, im gonna go watch it, and you should you!
See yah in a few!
